Bodegas Nidia’s 2014 Verdejo is a classic Rueda style, yielding from vines surrounded by pine forest, on the banks of the river Adaja.
Bodegas Nidia is a newly established boutique Rueda operation comprising just 5 acres run by José Lorenzo and Daniel Torío, who have over 20 years winemaking experience, and it really shows in the excellent 2014 white vintage.
The estate follows a traditional vinification, but with the latest technological developments to extract the maximum fruit character of this traditional Spanish white wine producing grape, which has been cultivated in Rueda for over 500 years.
Beautiful straw yellow colour. Elegant, intense aromas of fennel, mint, green apple, citrus and white stone fruits. Very fresh palate, voluptuous, silky and subtle, fruity and juicy with delicate acidity. Finishes long. A classic style.
