Heretat MontRubí’s unoaked Xarel·lo is a lovely, concentrated tropical white with underlying minerality and floral high notes.
Heretat Mont Rubí (HMR) is a family-run winery (established in 1984) surrounded by Mediterranean pine forests, and situated in the small town of Font-Rubí in the west of the Penedès.
The family own over 30 hectares of vineyards at altitudes of between 500-800 metres and champion/ have planted indigenous varietals such as Garnacha, Xarel·lo, Parellada and Samsó and (the nigh-on extinct) Sumoll, being worked under the guidance of the talented winemaker Josep Queralt.
HMR follow biodynamic methods and harvest their grapes manually to ensure that only the finest, most ripe produce make the grade.
Fresh and fruity, deliciously fragrant and perfumed, with hints of grapefruit, fennel and aromatic herbs on the nose. Concentrated green apples, pears, pineapple and tropical fruits, with floral hints including jasmine and underlying minerality adding interest.
